Public Surveys - You Input is Encouraged
Three regulations, the Nursing Homes Operation Regulation, the Nursing Homes General Regulation and the Co-ordinated Home Care Program Regulation, expire in 2017.
As part of reviewing and updating these regulations, Albertans have the opportunity to provide feedback by completing two online surveys. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts and to provide feedback on legislation related to such things as:
- Access to nursing homes
- Home support services (e.g. light housekeeping, laundry)
- Meal requirements
- Meeting the needs of caregivers
The public surveys can be found at alberta.health.ca and are available until midnight on July 31, 2016
Intercare is excited to announce its new Kingsland Terrace Supportive Living Community!
Located on 68th Avenue SW in proximity to Intercare’s Chinook Care Centre, Kingsland Terrace represents an innovative model of ‘supportive living’ that provides care and support services for younger adults under 65 years of age. Kingsland Terrace is home to twenty-four (24) residents in which six (6) residents live in one of four (4) separate and distinct residential living environments (also referred to as ’homes’).
Kingsland Terrace offers programming and services to benefit the care and social needs of residents residing in each of the four ‘homes’. This innovative, 24,000 sq. ft. facility has received provincial support in the form of an Affordable Supportive Living Initiative (ASLI) Capital Grant from the Province of Alberta.
Kingsland Terrace highlights Intercare`s vision and commitment to existing communities to meet the needs of specialty populations.
